Leadership skills and Stress Management Workshop

The Leadership Skills and Stress Management Workshop was held on 12th of April 2013. The main objective of this workshop is to develop leadership skills as well as how to manage stress effectively.  The speaker of the workshop is Ms Winnie, who is an experienced lecturer from Foundation Department of Curtin University. The workshop started from 12.30 and ended at 1.30 pm, whereby refreshment was provided after the workshop.

Let's Club In 

Let's Club in was organized by Student Council in order to provide opportunities for clubs to popularize themselves as well as to recruit new members. It was held from 27th to 28th March at the recreation hall at Curtin Sarawak. Attractive performances were scheduled and lucrative prizes were prepared.

CESC Welcoming Party 2013

The CESC Welcoming Party 2013 was held on 16th March 2013 aimed to bond the members together and above all, have fun. The responds were overwhelming in which around 60 peoples turned up during that day. It started from 9.30 in the morning kicking off with the speech from Eve. After the brief, the congregation proceeded with the game sessions prepared. During the game sessions, all of the participants were indulging in the games and new friendships were built in the midst of laughter. Food and drinks were served after the game sessions and the CESC Welcoming Party 2013 ended in the tumult of titter and appeasement.

 

Student and Alumni Newsletter

In order to foster the relationship between students and alumni, a compilation of the voice from the alumni is being published to students so that they can have the information about the graduated students from Curtin. Other than that, there are information regarding the clubs and also information about what the current students from Engineering were doing to improve themselves toward achieving the Curtin Graduate Attributes.

Extension for NACES 2012-Internal Competition

Hi all,

NACES 2012 Competition

Dear CESC members,

In conjunction with Chemical Engineering Days 2012 on 10th - 11th August 2012, there will be an internal NACES 2012 competition open to all Chemical Engineering students. The objective for this is to equip students with fruitful experience when they graduate and be competent enough to face challenges in working industries. 

There will be three categories open for this competition:

1) Technical PowerPoint Presentation

2) Technical Video Presentation

3) Technical Essay Writing

The rules and regulations for these three categories are attached in your email. For interested participants, kindly read through all the requirements before submitting the ENTRY FORM.

No teams are allowed to withdraw themselves once the ENTRY FORM is submitted.

The winner for each category will represent the university to compete in the national level competition at University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) end of this year.

The deadline for the submission of ENTRY FORM is 15th June 2012 (Friday). Please submit the softcopy to wanjunhiew@gmail.com. A notification email will be sent to respective group leader to re-confirm the registration.
